FEBRUARY
February – yuck! This has to be the least favorite of the
months. As I write this, the sun is
shining and it is unusual February weather.
Although some do not agree, I miss the snow and cold. It gave me a reason to stay inside, read a
book and watch the snow blow. When the
sun shines, everyone thinks they need to be doing something. Except for Mardi Gras, February has no
celebrations. And when you live in
Indiana, Mardi Gras is only something on the evening news.
A celebration is what February
needs. Something bigger than watching a
groundhog or buying a card. Something
with a wow factor. We need a
CELEBRATION!
Oh, silly me. SUNDAY!!
February has four Sundays so has four celebrations. The problem is we forget to celebrate on
Sunday.
Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth.
Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.
Know that the LORD is God.
It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of
his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give
thanks to him and praise his name.
For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness
continues through all generations.
PSALM 100
Shout – Joy –
Gladness – Thanks giving - Praise
THIS IS WHAT GOING TO
CHURCH SHOULD LOOK LIKE
THIS IS WHAT GOING TO
CHURCH SHOULD FEEL LIKE.
Sunday is almost
here. Are you ready?
Sunday morning wake up.
Have that cup of
coffee.
Get dressed.
Put on your joy.
Throw open the doors
to the church.
And CELEBRATE!
PS. But I am still glad February is almost over.
